What parents say...

Albie
Albie had been diagnosed with mild dyslexia and his reading age was around 2 years behind!  The standard in private school is often higher, so we were worried about the Entrance Exams.  Soon after he enrolled he started making rapid progress.  The school say he is now Level  5 in literacy and the teacher can see a lot of difference.  His reading age has shot up and the gaps in maths have been filled in and he has caught up amazingly quickly. It has definitely, definitely made a difference and I have recommended the centre to my friends.
Jilly (Albie’s Mum)
Firstly, I would like to thank yourselves and your staff for all your help and dedication to helping my daughter Saoirse with her maths.  She has shown an improvement with her confidence at attempting to handle the mathematics she is give by her school.  And I feel this is due to the staff at your centre, she had a very rough year in Year 4, with her very unsympathetic teacher and you all helped her through that.  For that I’m very grateful.
Mrs R Wall
Thank you for your lovely card.  You have helped with my creative writing and vocabulary.  I have grown in confidence and I appreciate your help.
Naomi
Alex had been tested in Year 4 for dyslexia and he came out mildly dyslexic for spelling.  He has a poor short term memory, and we were concerned about him going to Senior School with these problems. Alex started off a bit ‘anti’, but now he agrees that his writing is better and the improvement has been commented on by teachers.  We are so pleased he is getting professional help, and are especially pleased that he now see the benefit and is self-motivated. He now is now asking for help with his Maths too!

She loves coming, and sees that it helps her at school.  Her scores are going up all the time and recently she got three class awards in three weeks, she says this is ‘Thanks to you.

“Our children have enjoyed their time at your tuition centre very much, and my wife and I have been incredibly impressed with your professional approach to tuition. Thank you so much for all you have done in making our kids feel comfortable, cared for and safe.” Mr Usuanlele.

She is a quiet girl and I was concerned that her poor spelling was not being corrected.  When she saw the progress Bella was making in such a short time, I enrolled her for Maths as well!   It has transformed her thinking and she now has the self-esteem to ask questions in both numeracy and literacy.
Ms R Temple
“We also had a parent’s meeting at his school earlier this week.  I am pleased to say that his maths teacher was very impressed with not only his work, but also his attitude toward it.  I can only say that this is because of the wonderful service you and your colleagues have given.  Thank you so much for this.  Ellis is really enjoying his time with you and also seeing how well he is doing and this has resulted in a positive attitude towards learning.” James (parent) 2021

I would like to thank you for the enthusiastic way in which you have helped Vicky gain confidence in her abilities to learn.  She has been a different child since coming to you and has a more positive view now!

winner “We had planned to stop the tutoring after the 11+ exam, but with the next lockdown and more disruption to her education, we quickly relented when she literally begged us to continue going! The sessions are adjusted to her needs and she describes them as ‘really fun’ and she likes it that the work is specific to her level and much more individualised than the class work at school.”

 Payment Policy

Advance payment is required. We register your card details or set up a direct debit on database for automatic payments. Payments are made in advance of your child’s lessons, either weekly or monthly.

Payment types (Flat Rate or per session) must be maintained after the beginning of a school term. Customers may not switch from the monthly Flat Rate payment plan to the per session rate during a school term unless they agree to backdate the per session charges to the beginning of that term; exceptions to this policy are solely at the discretion of the Centre Director.

Missed Sessions and ‘Catch ups’

Please note that any sessions not attended will still be charged. We then offer a complimentary ‘catch-up’ session which can be scheduled at another convenient time during the time that your child is enrolled.

Please note that make-up credits will expire after 6 months if not used.

Notice Period

We politely request that you give two weeks’ written notice (email is best) to withdraw your child from tuition. We will count the notice period from the date that we receive your email or letter.  If you are a monthly payer, it is essential that you inform us in good time, otherwise you may be liable for an extra month’s payment.

Essential Information

Loving to Learn: Activities and tasks that your child Can Do!

After the assessment, we use your child’s results to create an individual plan for them.  It will focus on any areas of weakness and allow us to set work at the right level.  We will give your child work that they can do so their confidence, and feeling of success, returns.

Homework

This is set to practise and repeat their learning, which also helps them to retain it or shows us what we need to work on!

Our tutors will re-design their plan each week so they can continue to work on the areas of weakness, consolidate learning and extend it further.  We see the greatest progress from children who are with us for six to nine months.

Honest Feedback

We will give honest verbal feedback at the end of every session if requested.  Once the child has reached the goal agreed, we will recommend that they be re-assessed or graduated from the programme.

Real Teachers (Fully Qualified)

Our tutoring consists of 80 minutes of one-to-one tuition in a small group setting with a fully qualified teacher. All our tutors are experienced and qualified teachers.  We also give them full training in our ‘I Love to Learn’ teaching method.

Weekly During Term Time

Children need regular sessions to make progress and remember the new things they are learning. Memory issues often hold children back and so regular attendance is essential. The homework is there to repeat the work they have covered as an extra memory prompt.
